Dear viewers, it is very important for every man to follow the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his advice in married life. This will create deep love between husband and wife and will fill the family life with happiness.
Some advice given by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) for married men.
(1) To be good to the wife: –
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “The best of you is the one who is best to his wife, and I am the best of you to my wives.” [Ibn Majah: Hadith No. 198, Tirmidhi: Hadith No. 3695.]
It was understood from the hadith that we should build oneself as a good husband.
(2) Not to hate the wife: –
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A believing husband should not hate a believing wife. If one of his behaviors is disliked, the other will be satisfactory. ”
Sahih Muslim (1469)
If any behavior of the wife is disliked, one should keep oneself calm by looking at her good qualities, not hate. However, if the wife acts against Islam, then the husband can rule.
(3) To assist the wife in her work: –
Narrated from Hazrat Aswad (may Allah be pleased with her) Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to do with his wives at home. She said, “He assisted the wives in their work, and when it was time for prayer, he would go to prayer.” [Bukhari, 6039.]
He has taught the Ummah that husband should help the wife in her work at home.
(4) Doing one’s own work: –
A man asked Hazrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her), “Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) do any work in the house?”
In reply, Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, “Yes, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to sew his own clothes, repair shoes and do whatever men did at home.”
[Musnad Ahmad 24849]
Your wife is always busy with child rearing at home, household chores etc. As a result many times can not give you time. So you can do your own small work without being angry with him.
5 Eat together and drink water in the same container.
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said, “I used to drink water and give it to the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him).” He used to put his mouth where my mouth was and drink. After eating a piece of bone I give it to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He puts his mouth in the place where my mouth was. [Muslim, Hadith No. 300.]
It is understood from the hadith that it is sunnat for a husband and wife to eat together and drink in the same container and eat each other’s food, which creates deep love between the two.
৬ – Romance.
Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, “Once I went out on an expedition with the Messenger of Allah ( peace be upon him), when I was young, my body was not so fat. He said to his companions, “Go ahead, so they go ahead.” Then he said to me, “Let’s run and compete, I went ahead in the competition.”
Umm al-Mu’minin Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa (Radiyallahu Ta’ala Anha) said, “Then my body fat increased and I became a little fat.” Then, on a journey, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to his companions, ‘Go ahead, so they went ahead.’ The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to me, ‘Come, let us run.’ He smiled and said, this is the answer to your previous competition (meaning you were first before, this time I am first, so don’t be upset). [Nasai, Hadith No. 694, Musnad Ahmad, Hadith No. 24119.]
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to give pleasure to wives in various ways, keeps them happy and loved them very much.
It is also the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to have occasional rejoicing with wife. From this it is very important to take the advice of every married man.
Do not do anything for pleasure that would be against the law of Islam, such as taking a naked wife to a market, park, or even shopping. So when you take your wife outside then must cover by veil. Everything must be done within the limits of the law of Islam.
This was some important advice given by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to married men.
